From the minute I showed up to the Hands Off! protest I was asked over and over if I was with the press.  

I am not.

This seemed to catch people off guard.  The follow up questions sounds something like this;
"Oh, who are you with?"  "What are you doing with the pictures?"  "What are you doing here?"
I think you get the picture.

This really points out the obvious to me, we are not be seen by local press and that is honestly not a huge surprise considering we do live deep red country.  

The big surprise was the turn out, the number of folks showing up, signs ready, passion on full display for any passer by to see.  The number of people honking and showing support was the biggest shock and a good one on top of that.  

We are here Roseburg, we are many, we are mad and we are ready to stand up, stand proud and not let our voices be silenced by those trying to take our rights.

Hands Off!
